A roller coaster week

Ear infections, late night employment searches, rain, ocean view drives and snow. That pretty much sums up our week. Brian started feeling sick Monday evening and by Tuesday am he had a ruptured ear drum. He is now feeling better but does have some temporary hearing loss in his affected ear. It was a blessing for him that this was reading week. Reading week means there are no classes just reading- each seminary student is required to read 1500 pages per class per semester..YIKES. I mean I like to read and all but to have to read that much and comprehend it in such a short amount of time is daunting to me. Needless to say it was a blessing Brian got sick this week so that he didn't miss classes but he lost the opportunity to get ahead in his readings.

I have been trying to search for employment opportunities and it definitely has a big city feel. It's been a bit frustrating to say the least, but everyone I've talked to here says to keep pushing through it takes weeks to hear back from anyone. I am trying not to get to disappointed and continue to pray that the Lord would present the 'right' opportunity for our family.

We still have a lot of snow and then it started to rain, it was a cold rain but the kiddos wanted to get outside and play in the rain, we got our rubber boots and raincoats on and headed out to play in the puddles. They had a blast, I was frozen :)

Brian was started to feel better so we ran a few errands on Saturday. On our way home we decided to head to Gloucester pronounced Gloster ( we are still getting used to the pronunciations of words). It's a quant fishing village, with lots of whale watching tours, seafood restaurants and beautiful ocean views. We drove along the coast and were just in awe at the ocean, light houses, rocky shore lines, the houses and the beach front areas. Then we ended in Rockport (I think, Rock something anyway) and that was a more upscale type fishing village, tiny tiny houses side by side along the shore, cute shops, old architecture. Just Lovely! It was a little cold out that day to get out of the car, so I am looking forward to warmer weather and able to get out and stroll the streets and the beach. We have found that from May 1st to Sept 1st it is impossible, without paying fees or living in the area to have access to the beach. Needless to say I will be there are many days as possible before May 1st!

From rain one day to 3+ inches of snow on the ground this a.m. It did however make it look beautiful outside again, as the snow was starting to get dirty looking, now a fresh white blanket of snow covers the ground once again!
