He is Risen!

We have been trying to be intentional about sharing with our kiddos the meaning on Easter. Last week they said it's when the easter bunny comes. This week, after palm Sunday service, reading their bibles at bedtime, having a special childrens video on Christ's life along with pizza on good Friday, doing the resurrection eggs and just simply talking about what this week means, they now know Easter is when Christ died for our sins and then "the tomb was empty".

The church we are attending here in MA, had a sunrise service on the ocean...couldn't pass that up. We woke up, got all of us ready and headed out the door at 6:10 a.m. ( that is officially a record ). The service was nice, Grace sang along (precious) Gabby picked up shark eggs (mermaid purses) and tried to place them discretely in her pocket, Brayden was facinated with the ducks in the water...I was in awesome of singing and hearing scripture read about what today is all about, watching the sun rise over the tree tops. Breath taking.

I was getting ready for our Easter dinner and Grace and Gabby were going through their resurrection eggs by them selves and giving their answers for why the objects were in the eggs. I really need to have my video camera available for those moments!

We shared Easter dinner with friends who have become dear to us, followed by and easter egg hunt. We are exhausted but it was a great day! Happy Easter everyone and may you celebrate with us that Christ has risen and he is Alive!
