A new kind of skating

our church had family roller skating night at the local roller rink. Grace had recently been there for a birthday party and had a blast, we thought it would be a fun family outing...Grace laced her skates and was out before we even noticed. Brayden and Gabby were excited and slowly made there way to the 'rink'. On the way you are skating on carpet but once you hit the hard wood it is pretty 'slick'. Brayden got on all fours and crawled off, Gabby went limb and fell on the floor crying. B and I just look at each other. After some tough love...I told them there was no snacks or playing on the video games that they had to sit and watch everyone else skate...low and behold they both put there skates back on and headed out! and they had a blast, it was so much fun watching them. They fell and got right back up. Gabby was pretty independent, Brayden always wanted to hold on to someones hand!!! All and all I would say it was a success.

he's doing it!!!
